Orlando issues Lake Advisory for all lakes in advance of Hurricane Dorian

To address citizen concerns related to water quality, the Streets and Stormwater Division has developed a public information system, "Lake Alert," to provide seasonal and localized warnings and updates for City of Orlando lakes. An announcement has been provided below regarding all lakes within the City of Orlando:

The City of Orlando has issued a precautionary Lake Advisory for all lakes for the duration of Hurricane Dorian and directly afterward. Due to the storm, there is a high potential for water contamination, sewer overflows, active wildlife and other safety concerns. Take extreme caution around all waterways during this time.
