Florida springs summit to pursue restoration and protection

With Florida’s water increasingly distressed by pollution and algae blooms, the Florida Springs Restoration Summit for 2018 will be Nov. 1 through Nov. 4.

The event is held every two years by the Florida Springs Council, with support from the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida and Jelks Family Foundation.

The event will include examination of threats, restoration actions and ongoing protections for the state’s hundreds of springs, broken down into seven regions.

The summit will be at the College of Central Florida in Ocala. For tickets and more information, visit springsrestorationsummit.org.
