ORANGE COUNTY – Orange County Utilities will lift its one-day-a-week watering restriction temporarily for the warmer season. Beginning Sunday, March 9, and ending Sunday, November 2, Orange County properties will be limited to two-day-a-week watering.
Conserving water in Orange County is important to both Orange County Utilities and to the members of our community,” said Jacqueline Torbert, Manager of the Orange County Utilities Water Division. “Although the water restriction has been extended to two days a week, property owners should pay attention to the needs of their lawn and landscape, watering only when necessary.
Homes with even-numbered addresses water only on Thursday and Sunday, homes with odd-numbered addresses water only on Wednesday and Saturday, and nonresidential properties water only on Tuesday and Friday. Watering is restricted to no more than one hour per zone and is prohibited between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. These restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water, and water from public and private utilities.
