Household Hazardous/Electronic Waste Community Collection Event this Saturday

Orange County, FL – Orange County Utilities invites eligible Orange County residents* to its Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Community Collection Event on Saturday, October 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Orange County Services Building located at 1111 N. Rock Springs Road, Apopka, FL 32712. Participants will have the opportunity to properly dispose of hazardous and electronic waste – free of charge.

The following items will be accepted:

Paint Pool Chemicals Stereos
Cooking oil Vehicle batteries Televisions
Flammable liquids Drain cleaners Computers
Cleaning fluids Brake fluids & antifreeze Telephones
Pesticides Propane tanks (20-lb. max) DVD Players

Participants are prohibited from bringing biologically active materials, radioactive materials, explosives, tires, or ammunition.

*Eligible participants include residents of unincorporated Orange County and the cities of Apopka, Ocoee, Orlando, Windermere, and Winter Garden only. Proof of residency is required.
