Savage/Christmas Creek Preserve to Open July 16th

On Friday, July 16, at 9:30 a.m., Mayor Richard T. Crotty and members of the Board of County Commissioners will officially open Savage/Christmas Creek Preserve to the public. The Preserve is located 2.7 miles north of the intersection of Colonial Drive and West Christmas Road, in east Orange County.

Savage/Christmas Creek Preserve is one of 17 environmentally sensitive parcels purchased under Orange County's GreenPLACE program. GreenPLACE stands for Park Land Acquisition for Conservation and Environmental Protection. Mayor Crotty started the GreenPLACE program in 2002. The purpose of the program is to preserve Orange County's natural resources and wildlife.
