City of Orlando is upgrading its Lake Alert system

The City of Orlando is upgrading its Lake Alert system to provide residents with a more tailored and efficient experience. The City is transitioning to Everbridge, a new notification system that offers enhanced features and customization options.

With Everbridge, subscribers will have the flexibility to choose how they receive alerts – whether it's through text messages, phone calls, or emails. Plus, they will be able to opt in for alerts specific to the lakes they are interested in.

The CIty's lake alerts cover a range of concerns, including sanitary sewer overflows, harmful algal blooms, fish kills, elevated bacteria levels, and severe weather events like tropical storms or hurricanes.

To receive timely updates about your lakes, please subscribe to the new Lake Alert system by visiting orlando.gov/lakealert.

Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our Public Outreach Coordinator at stormwater.education@orlando.gov.
