Public meeting scheduled: TMDLs for Lakes Condel, Anderson, and Louise

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to receive comments on the draft nutrient total maximum daily load (TMDL) reports for impaired waters in the Kissimmee River Basin and Middle St. Johns River Basin, to be adopted in Rule 62-304.515, F.A.C. and Rule 62-304.505, F.A.C, respectively.

The TMDLs to be presented at the public workshop include:

  • Lake Condel (WBID 3168X5) in the Kissimmee River Basin.
  • Lake Anderson (WBID 3168E) in the Kissimmee River Basin.
  • Louise Lake (Lower Segment) (WBID 2902) in the Middle St. Johns River Basin.

If adopted, these nutrient TMDLs will constitute site-specific numeric interpretations of the narrative nutrient criterion set forth in paragraph 62-302.530(48)(b), F.A.C. and replace the otherwise applicable numeric nutrient criteria in subsection 62-302.531(2), F.A.C.

Registration is open for the webinar. A subsequent email will follow containing the agenda.

The department is requesting that all comments be received by Feb. 3, 2021. Written comments on the TMDL approach should be submitted by email to or by mail to:
