Hazardous/Electronic Waste Collection This Saturday Apr. 20th

Orange County Utilities Hosts Community Collection of Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste in West Orange County

Orange County – Orange County Utilities invites eligible Orange County residents* to its Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste Community Collection Event on Saturday, April 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Valencia College (West Campus) located at 1800 S. Kirkman Road, Orlando, FL 32811. Participants will have the opportunity to properly dispose of hazardous and electronic waste – free of charge.

The following items will be accepted:

Paint
Cooking Oil
Flammable liquids
Cleaning fluids
Pesticides
Pool chemicals
Vehicle batteries
Drain cleaners
Brake fluids & antifreeze
Propane tanks (20-lb max)
Stereos
Televisions
Computers
Telephones
DVD players

Participants are prohibited from bringing biologically active materials, radioactive materials, explosives, tires, or ammunition.

*Eligible participants include residents of unincorporated Orange County and the cities of Apopka, Ocoee, Orlando, Windermere, and Winter Garden only. Proof of residency is required.
