No-wake order on Ocoee lakes is lifted

Rich McKay | Sentinel Staff June 18, 2009

OCOEE - The City of Ocoee has lifted the "No-wake" zone ruling for Starke Lake and Lake Prima Vista. Watercrafts are now allowed to operate on lakes within the city.

In the past couple of weeks, water levels were above the municipal docks and had gone into several residents’ rear yards because of the excessive rainfalls.

Since then, water levels have gone back to normal, which is perfect timing for fishing and other extra curricular activities for family and friends to enjoy this summer.
